REPORT ON FINAL EVALUATION MEET-ING
”EUROPEAN COHESION POLICY FOR UKRAINE “
Kyiv, Ukraine
Reported Event Date: August, 31, 2020
Developed by Marja Nesterova
The final evaluation meeting was conducted online via Zoom due to quarantine re-strictions on August 31. Prof. Marja Nesterova was the moderator of the meeting
with assistance of Dr. Karina Barantseva
and Dr. Maryna Chulaevska.
The goal of that meeting was to recollect what we did and what we accomplished during the project time. Even though the budget and the time were constrained, we still managed not only to meet our project’s expectations, but also to surpass them, like exceeding the anticipated number of academic papers. The materials of the module served as a base to developing new courses, “European Social Cohesion Policy” (12 study hours), “Community Development: EU studies” (48 study hours), “Social Cohesion in Education: EU studies” (24 study hours), and they were included in a Master’s degree curriculum for a “Management of social cultural activity” specialization.
We did not focus only on the product results, and the effect on students was signifi-cant. During the module time, participants of the project managed to acquire new knowledge, approbate new methods of social development and cohesion practices.
Cross-cooperation with British Counsel, APREI, AREVE, and other Jean Monet projects was successfully maintained during project’s time.
Even though in original project application form our courses were meant to be im-plemented in Master’s degree specializations, we also managed to widen our audi-ence and include bachelors, post-graduates, and teachers. The courses “Community Development: EU studies” and “Social Cohesion in Education: EU studies” were officially included into Bachelor’s degree program.
